Made With Code

Eep! I got a package in the mail! It's my #madewithcode bracelet!! I had made it and totally forgotten about it. My friend on FB posted a picture of her Made With Code bracelet a long long time ago and I was intrigued (especially because it's free!). I googled it and went to the website to try and make one, but it didn't work out too well since I was using my phone. :( 

I forgot all about it until one day I came across someone else's #madewithcode bracelet and I remembered that I had started the process and then just left it because the mobile site was giving me a hard time. I went on my computer and did it, and I received it yesterday! 

To be honest, I know nothing about coding and it has always seemed like really difficult mumbo jumbo to me when explained by another person who had knowledge of coding. However, it was super easy on the site. Too easy. I'm a bit suspicious that all I needed to do was move shapes from one box to another to construct my bracelet. I even tried the avatar coder and it just seems... too simple. Maybe I'm thinking too much into it. Maybe I expect it to be difficult but when it was so simple, it threw me off. Who knows. What it all boils down to is: I GOT MY BRACELET. WOOWOO. 

It showed up backwards. It's all cool.

I made it pink of course! I was actually a little surprised that it's made from papery feeling plastic because i expected it to be plastic plastic. Like.. smooth plastic. But hey, can't expect too much from something which was free. Or maybe this is just what is used in 3D printing. This means I can never wear it though, and that disappoints me because I'm always arm deep in water and I'm afraid that this papery feeling plastic won't stand up to being soaked all the time and I'm really not about to risk it because it just seems PAPERY to me. #stylistlife 

I'm just going to keep it in the packaging because it really is beautiful and I love the way everything was so nicely presented rather than shoving it in an envelope and just shipping it out. All of it costs money and I'm really grateful that I was able to dip my toe into the coding waters and got something really nice out of it as a "gift" or sorts. Gift, prize, whatever. 

Ahhhh I love it. If there was an option to make it out of a different material for a fee, I'd be all over that. I'd love to code more jewelry any day!!
